Sage Fruit Company to sell SugarBee apples

Yakima, WA (September 1, 2022) – Sage Fruit Company BB #:163180 is excited to announce that beginning with the 2022 apple crop, we will have SugarBee® apples available for our retail and wholesale partners, which was made possible through their newly formed partnership with Chelan Fruit BB #:170403.

“We feel this is an excellent opportunity for our organization and we are thrilled to be able to supply our retail and wholesale partners, as well as our food service customers with the SugarBee®,” said Chuck Sinks, Sage Fruit’s President of Sales and Marketing.

SugarBee® harvest will begin in early October, with several packaging options available. In addition, the Sage Fruit sales and marketing teams will be working closely with our partners to build unique programs utilizing marketing and merchandising techniques that will increase sales at retail.  With having both Conventional and Organic SugarBee® apples this crop season, we will be able to keep our retail customers and consumers happy with our ability to supply both product lines.

Chelan Fruit joined the Sage Fruit family of grower, packer, shippers to enhance the marketing, sales and distribution of their Washington-grown tree fruit at the beginning of the 2022 cherry season. Through this partnership, Chelan Fruit will contribute considerable volume of conventional and organic apples, pears during this upcoming season.

Chelan Fruit is a nearly 3000-acre farming operation complete with its own packing and cold storage facilities and is one of Washington’s leading fruit producers.
