Freska Produce International has completed the construction of three ripening rooms at its Oxnard, CA facility for mangos and avocados.

“These ripening rooms are state of the art and will benefit our end users,” says Jesus “Chuy” Loza of Freska Produce.

This means Freska is now capable of ripening three loads simultaneously and will be ready to go by the end of the week. The rooms, completed this month, use Thermal Tech Ripening technology capable of ripening the company’s mangos and avocados.

“With the request of our retail partners asking for ripening capabilities, we planned this addition to our facility a couple of years ago,” says Tom Hall, Freska sales manager and partner. “This allows us to provide ripened fruit to customers within 48 hours and that’s something we look forward to offering more customers down the road.”
